Use Keywords in Headings | SEO Tip
Use your keywords in the headings and subheadings of our page. Your heading should capture the visitor’s attention, tell them they are on the right page and it should also tell search engine robots what the page is about.
If conversion rates are lagging, I suggest your heading include a call to action as well. Tell your visitors how you want them to respond to the content in the page.
Heading tags range in size and impact from H1 (largest) to H6 (smallest). Use the H1 tag only once in each page. H2 and H3 subheadings help break up the page and also reinforce keyword presentation to the robots crawling the page. Subheadings will focus on a keyword phrase that is slightly more specific than the the main H1 heading.
If you’re using a CMS or blog application, your template can be edited so that headings are placed in H1 tags. You can use the ‘HTML’ button in the Tiny MCE editor to place subheadings in tags. ( ie: <h2>Subheading</h2> )
